DevThot[34] = "The care that God gives to us is 'providential', or 'foreseeing', which means that He knows what we need before we need it.";
DevThot[35] = "If we live or dwell in God's care, we will find rest in His presence. Being near to God is to know true peace.";
DevThot[36] = "Jesus had one thing on His mind when He suffered on the cross. He was thinking of you, and the life you would live with Him if you believe in Him, and it brought Him great joy.";
DevThot[37] = "Ask the Lord to guide you by his Holy Spirit, to keep you from stumbling into sin. He will help you to obey Him, if you ask.";
DevThot[38] = "We believe that all of the wonderful things we now see around us - the earth, the sky, the entire universe of planets and stars - were made when God said 'let there be...' from nothing.";
DevThot[39] = "If we believe in the death of Jesus for our sins, we will be saved so we can go to heaven. Our families can do the same. Let's be sure to share the good news of Jesus' love with our family and friends ... and everyone else.";
DevThot[40] = "Did your parents ever tell you, 'If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all.'? That is very good advice. Ask yourself if what you want to say will help the other person. If not, don't say it.";
DevThot[41] = "Do you want to please God? Here's how: Be joyful always, pray at all times, and be thankful no matter what happens. Does that seem hard? It is God's will for you, so He will help you.";
DevThot[42] = "It is good to read and memorize God's Word, the Bible; but, we must also obey it and do what it says. Otherwise, we are just fooling ourselves.";
DevThot[43] = "Do you think before you speak? Do you 'count to 10' before you speak? Or are you quick to speak out of anger or frustration? A life that pleases God will be slower to speak and quicker to listen to others.";
DevThot[44] = "It is a wonderful thing to know that our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, lives, and will one day return for us. We can know that for sure.";
DevThot[45] = "The Lord desires to bless you, and to keep you in His watchful care. When we know He is near to us, we can know His peace that passes all understanding. Pass that blessing on to others.";
DevThot[46] = "Do you desire to know God as much as a thirsty deer desires a stream full of clear, cool water? You should. And, guess what. If we do, He promises to fill that thirst.";
DevThot[47] = "Are you burdened with cares? Are you weary and tired? Jesus promised that we just need to come to Him, and He will give us a much needed rest.";
DevThot[48] = "God is not done with you yet. He will continue to develop and mold you into the person He desires. Trust Him, and surrender to Him. Allow Him to do His perfect work in and through you. And don't give up. He is not done with you yet.";
DevThot[49] = "If we are truly wise, we will learn from instruction and teaching. If we are living a life that is pleasing to God, then we will continue to learn and grow. Remember ... we never 'know it all'.";
DevThot[50] = "Never give up. Never turn back. Keep pressing forward. Continue to serve and obey the Lord, and fulfill His plan for your life ... in Christ Jesus.";

DevThot[59] = "Each one of us has a gift that was given to us by God. Yes, you also have a gift. If you do not yet know what it is, ask the Lord to reveal it to you. Then, once you recognize your gift, use it with all of your heart to serve others, for the Lord.";
DevThot[60] = "Do you want to be more healthy? Have a cheerful heart. How? Rejoice in the Lord! Have a thankful heart. It sure beats being down and discouraged. Need help getting started? Start by smiling. Who knows ... you just might spread the 'good medicine' to someone else.";
DevThot[61] = "Do you want God to forgive you for your sins? Here is what you need to do: Confess your sins to God. He has promised to forgive us if we confess. And He will also cleanse us and make us new.";

DevThot[63] = "There is much for which to give thanks to the Lord - especially the victory He has given to us through Jesus. In Him, we have victory over sin, the grave, hell, Satan, and our own selfish desires.";

DevThot[72] = "If you have given your life to Christ, you are not the same person you once were. You are a brand new person - born again in the newness of life!";
DevThot[73] = "There may not seem like anything to rejoice in at times, but we can always, and should always, rejoice in the Lord! We can rejoice in the His help, His power, His salvation, His love, and so much more!";
DevThot[74] = "All that God has done is too much for us to understand or comprehend. Just know this: what He has done is good ... including when He made you.";
DevThot[75] = "When we are in Christ, our old, sinful nature is dead. We have new life in Christ, and will live with him forever. We can know that for sure.";

DevThot[78] = "The Lord has promised to walk with us, and to be our God. He has called us His people. He loves us and wants to be with us. That is a wonderful promise and comfort.";
DevThot[79] = "God has always been, and He will always be. 'How is that possible?', you ask. He is God, the Almighty.";
DevThot[80] = "God spoke, and it was created. He made everything there is. That includes you.";
DevThot[81] = "We have all sinned. Each one of us. And, if we are in Christ, then we are made right in Him.";
DevThot[82] = "Faith is not by sight. Faith is for sure. Faith is being certain.";
DevThot[83] = "When our strength comes from God, His mighty power gives us all we need to face the enemy.";

DevThot[92] = "The Lord cares for us when we place our trust in Him. We can count on His protection. We can rely on His goodness.";

DevThot[94] = "There will come a time when it is too late for those who failed to seek the Lord. Do not wait until it is too late. Have you called on Him and accepted His gift of salvation? If not, do it today!";

DevThot[96] = "Obeying God's commands - doing what is right - is showing love to God. And, He commands that we love one another.";
DevThot[97] = "God's commands are not too difficult for us to understand or obey. He has put them in our hearts and in our mouths so we can more easily obey them.";
DevThot[98] = "You and I sometimes judge others based on their outward appearance. God does not do that. He looks into their very heart - and into yours also.";
DevThot[99] = "We should place our complete trust in God, and live by faith in Him, rather than living by what we can see.";
DevThot[100] = "Since we are God's chosen people, we should try to live like it. We should be compassionate, kind, humble, gentle, and patient.";
DevThot[101] = "Never get tired of doing what is right. Do not give up. God will reward your efforts in His perfect timing.";
DevThot[102] = "If you truly love your neighbor, you will not steal from them, or lie to them, or do anything against God's law toward them.";

DevThot[104] = "The penalty for sin is death. That is what we deserve, because we are sinners. But God provided the gift of salvation and eternal life through faith in His Son, Jesus.";

DevThot[108] = "Christ Jesus has set us free from the bonds of sin. Don't let yourself be entangled all over again in a sinful lifestyle. Live life in the freedom He has given to us.";
DevThot[109] = "Biblical love - true love - is defined by being patient and kind, unselfish toward others, forgiving, and humble.";
DevThot[110] = "Jesus commands us to love each other. How much? As much as He loves us - boundlessly. In what way? In the same way He loves us - unconditionally, unselfishly.";

DevThot[117] = "How much do you love God's Word? Enough to think about it all day long? Try it. It will transform your life.";
DevThot[118] = "If you are in Christ, then you are one of God's chosen, holy people. You belong to Him. He is the one who called you from darkness into the light of a new life in Him. That should be enough reason to praise Him.";
DevThot[119] = "God will give us the strength we need to resist our enemy, the devil. God will also protect us from the enemy's attacks. We can count on that, because God is faithful.";
DevThot[120] = "Grow in your faith. Keep praying as God's Spirit leads you. Live in the love of God. He has saved us in His mercy. We have eternal life in Christ.";
DevThot[121] = "In what, or in whom, do you take great delight? Do you delight in the Lord? If so, He will give you what your heart desires.";

DevThot[128] = "Jesus is coming soon! When He returns, He will reward us for the work we have done for Him. May we be faithful in accomplishing all that He calls us to do.";
DevThot[129] = "When we come into the Lord's presence, we should do so with thanksgiving and praise. That is how we should enter into a worship service at church, and how we should enter a time of prayer, and how we should approach Him every day.";
DevThot[130] = "Our minds need to be focused on the call of God on our lives. We need to exercise self-control and look forward, with hope, to Christ's return and the blessings of His grace.";
DevThot[131] = "We need to focus our thoughts on good things - on things that are pleasing to the Lord - on things that will encourage and strengthen us. Let's not waste our thoughts on things that tear down and discourage.";
DevThot[132] = "Jesus is referred to here as the 'Sun of Righteousness'. When we honor His name, we experience the freedom that He brings to all who believe in His name.";
DevThot[133] = "In God, we can find security, safety, and strength. And, when trouble arises, we can count on His help being there for us.";
DevThot[134] = "With God, all things are possible. He can do anything. No task is too hard for Him. And, nothing can stop God from accomplishing His plans and purposes. (see Rom. 8:28)";
